Default Odd splutter this morning

Had a 15 second splutter this morning in traffic on way to work.

My drive to work is 20 - 30 mins through slow traffic, tickover gets to normal warm mode - but suspect engine oil doesn't get up to full temp.

Anyway this morning engine started coughing. I've run out of fuel before and it was almost like that - although there was a bit more power to pull out of the way of traffic.

Needed to use lots of throttle to keep it going mind, but revs didn't splutter much over 1500.

Managed a quick glance at Apexi Commander injectors at 7% no knock that's all I clocked

Then as if by magic it all cleared.

Reminded me of water in dizzy cap on Mini, but that needed WD40 to sort that out, or as I said similar to running out of fuel.

Anyone got any indicative ideas?
Cheers

Thanks guys.
I'll have a look and dry it out inside tonight.

Just odd I've never had the problem before.

could be a combination of wind and rain... nothing else obvious springs to mind.

if the maf sees water it obviously cools quick so acts like there is lots of air being consumed and the ecu injects lots of fuel. Hence the stumble.
