Default Idle problem

I have a couple of very minor problems, which may be from the same fault. Between gears, the engine holds the revs for a split second, and if gunning it, when the clutch is depressed the engine over revs slightly before the next gear is engaged. Also, when returning to tickover, it will stop at 1k rpm before dropping to 750ish and holding steady. It doesnt hunt at all, and is not running rough, as far as I am aware. Does anyone have any ideas, or is this normal (particularly the latter) during the colder days? Many thanks in advance.

Myles
