Default help! overheating

hi, uk 98 started overheating last week, top hose hot bottom cold rad cold. changed thermostat, hoses both warm now still overheating checked usual for headgasket ie oil filler cap etc all fine. heater not getting hot possible water pump/ heater matrix? any help please

could be a air lock i had the same a year ago.

how do you get rid of that, bleed it from tap at bottom of rad? also to add, temp gauge reads normal and fans dont come on

how do u know if its over heating if everythings showing normal?
what i did loosen the top main pipe from the engine to the rad and pulled it back to a little gap whilst sqeezing the bottom pipe.next thing i got is hot water squirting out,screwed the pipe back up,added more water that was it job done!

i dont know if thats the right way of doing it but i spent an hour tying 2 get that lock out!

theres all steam pouring from under bonnet lol smells burning water orange water stains etc,

have u checked all the pipes comin of the header tank?if there leakin and drippin on ur heat shield on ur exhaust,that could cause smells like water burnin

drain the system and fill it from the hose that goes to the turbo from the header tank
