Turbo Removal ??

Default Turbo Removal ??

I have an X Reg Turbo2000 and i would like to know if there is anything to be careful of or to look out for whilst taking off the TD04 Turbo??

You will need to get all the heatshield crap off the cat, and drain a bit of water from the system plus the oil return pipe comes off easily but is a bas---- to get back on. WD40 on the nuts and leave for a while.

i'll second that the oil return was a c@nt to get back on mine,i would give the nuts on uppipe and downpipe a good soaking with wd40 the day before as they are fecking tight

cheers guys, ive got some really good release agents here my old man swears by them he says they are better than WD40 so shall have to wait and see

I know it has already been suggested to drain a bit of coolant but personally I would get rid of it all as you will loose a lot anyways when you remove the turbo.
