Default New Engine

Hi
I have a problem with my engine. problem is I can hear knocking in some sort of metalic sound, from bottom end. I have asked few people and 99% said the shells on the crankshaft are on their way out unfortunetely . It is not too bad but yet but I have pay a bit more attention.
I need help to find or new engine or somebody who will fix my one fo me.
My car is an WRX Impreza 1995, m-reg, automatic, and I am from LINCOLN.
Problem is SCOOBY MANIA quoted me arround 1400+VAT+polishing crankshaft+etc. so I am lookin arround 2000 easily. And it is deffinately too much for me . Other side is. I can buy another angine for let say 700 pounds and fit in for another 400, but there is no sure how new engine will run.
AND circle is closed, no way out. Is it anybody who can help me refurbish my engine a bit cheaper??
I am really sad becouse I have this car less than 3 months and my expierence is 1 in 1 to 10 scale and this is a effect.
Thanks for any help
My mobile is 07983-499-370

This is why god created credit cards, not for women to go shopping...

Seriously, try Op-North.... Scoobyclinic, Scoobybits, but don't be too suprised if they say much the same.

there is a guy advertises on ebay that will collect refurb and return your engine, cheapest ive seen or can fit it,try giving him an email BUT cheapest isnt always the best, the reason places like RCM,API and scoobybits are more expensive than the local garages is because they have the experience and you know what your getting when you go to them, hope you get everythin sorted soon tho
