Roof skin removal and pattern panels????
Had a litle incident at brands yesterday when someone decided to hit me going through paddock and sent me into the gravel which rolled me over.
Where is the best / cheapest place for replacement panels?
Not fussed about fit or quality.
Also how difficult is a roof skin change? May salvage or if its not too much work will replace (have to work around a weld in roll cage)
I need
roof skin (poss)
Alloy bonnet
All 4 bare doors
pair front wings
front panel
front bumper
front bumper iron
Cheers Steve.

it was a 93 wrx impreza import but seeing as it needs all front end panels could face lift it if they became available first.
I was going to talk to immortal as i have seen them do a carbon firbe firewall which i will need when i put a swirl pot in the boot.
As for the carbon roof, im not sure how i stand with the regs/ scrutinering???
I do quite fancy one of them as my main plan over the winter is to get it under a 1000kgs.
I was talking to the medic there yesterday and he wants to get his scooby mapped so i gave him your details simon.
Ive got pics of the whole crash from star to finish and will do a link when ive soted them!
Cheers Steve.

I doubt scruitineering would be able to tell the roof wasn't OE??
Thanks for passing details on

Thanks Simon,
Sunday was the last round of the year so have got 5 months now to repair car.
Have managed to source a ra shell locally for not a lot of money which i can rob for bits then hopefully move the shell on or keep incase it hapens again
Started stripping last night and it s not too sad, every thing is straight under the wings and the windscreen recess appears to have retained its shape.
Once its back looking like a car again i'll come and talk to you about a new engine
I now have a 2000 uk on the road so will want you to work your majic on that at some point as well.
Cheers Steve.

Fitting a roof skin is not that difficult, the most time will be taken stripping the car down..
Once stripped, get both screens removed (if they are not already smashed), and drill all the spot welds off with a spot weld drill.
To try and un pick a roof off another car to put on yours may be time consuming, but if you are very careful, you may just do it without creasing it.
And then you would have to plug weld all the welds you have drilled out, which may then buckle the skin if you are not careful.
Me myself, I would buy a new roof skin.
