Default *CHECK ENGINE* Light Flassing

Hi

First ...Sorry If this is in the wrong section, I dont use scoobynet often

On my mates WRX, his engine light keeps flashing at roughly over 4k revs?

Car is booked in on wednesday with the garage.... but could thier be any other problems that myself cud look into?

Flashing is usually Knock is it not?

suggest he tries better fuel then.. shell vpower and perhaps gets it checked by who mapped it

Yeah, what fuel does he use?

Also what year wrx is it and what oil does he use?

My knock is slightly high and have been told to use better oil
