Hi anyone know how to remove the Radio Blank Plate its a MY05 TYPE 25 or same as JDM STi has a tray under blanking plate, they dont want to be prised out ? surely you dont have to remove the front facia to release them??

is it a black pocket?
my 04 had a single din unit with a black plastic pocket underneath and to get it out i had to
remove cup holder (2 screws)
pull radio/ heater front surround off
remove 6 screws holding radio brackets
pull radio out

the pocket was fastened to the radio brackets with a screw either side

sounds like that might be the same, cup holders along side handbrake yes?

ah you've got the later dash?

my cupholder is above radio - easier to remove that 1st then pull the plastic surround out
