Default Check Engine light

Check engine light came on today. I've had the car 3 months and done around 3000 mile without any problems.

Its a 2002 WRX. Only things I've changed are the exhaust and air filter and they have been on for over a month
Exhaust is a Revolution 3" system (centre decat and backbox).
Air filter is a Simota panel filter.

The car doesnt seem to be anything else wrong with the car other than the warning light.

Does anyone have any ideas what it could be?
Also does anyone know the best place to get a OBD-II reader/cable from?

Cheers

Brendan
