Question What should Tig and Mig welds look like on exhaust

Hey all,

Just wonder if anyone out there is a weld expert....I've got an exhaust and I can tell the Mig welds as they have "extra" material on the weld, but like a small triangle all the way around the tube. The Tig welding though, looks like lots of round dots and not that much material on them, is that normal for Tig?
Its all Stainless...and although the Tig welds dont look very thin wall like, but they do look odd to me.

Mig is welded by "chimps" Tig takes alot more skill and prep.
You dont need much filler wire if the prep is good.

That's what I kinda read from a google search but the odd thing on my exhaust is the mig looks well tidy and strong but the Tig looks a bit like small circles all the way around and a little wonky...but not thin or weak exactly.

good mig welding can be nice and tidy, but tig is always going to look better. However, some very nice looking welds can be poor indeed. Is it important?

Just wanted to check the quality....happy now though as getting Forge Motorsport to modify the restrictive end to a full 3" so whole system full 3". The fab guy was happy with the mig and tig welds so I'm happy.

Cheers
