TD04- on TD05 ECU?

Default TD04- on TD05 ECU?

Hi guys just a quick question, I've got a classic WRX and my TD05 turbo has just blown and i've put a TD04 turbo off my wagon on until i can get my hands on another TD05! now can i run it on my ECU or do i need to run the Wagon one?

Well not a deffinate answer but seeing as you cannot run a td05 on a td04 ecu set up (as mine originally was) i suspect its just as incompatable the other way round too.

Running a td04 on a td05 map is not a good idea. You will get alot of midrange overboost, the duty map will be completely wrong and the engine speed break points will not cover the spool up range of the smaller turbo.

Agree with Andy...
Plant your foot down in 4th/5th at low RPM and it will probably overboost due to the rpm scaling on the boost target and control maps.
This will probably happen as low as 2700rpm due to the quick spooling TD04 overshooting the target.
