engine check light on!!!!

Default engine check light on!!!!

Hey! Av just fitted a front intercooler to my wrx and when i start it up the engine check lights stays on and car cuts out after 5 seconds or somethng unless i give it revs.....anyone had similar problem or no how i could try find the fault?? thanks

go over all the pipework and make sure all the hoses are fitted correctly and all the wiring plugs are still on tight especially the maf one.
failing that you will need a diag check to pull of the fault code so you got and idea where to start looking

I have done a diag check on the car and it says its the mass air flow sensor,hav wigled wires and that but still the same......Does this mean a new one or???

as said you probably have a pipe leak

a pipe leak u meaning the new intercooler pipe work? Just checkd again the fault says KNOCK SENSOR, MASS AIR FLOW SENSOR AND IDLE AIR CONTROL SENSOR??

reset the ecu and check which reoccurs.. some could be old

done that at still the same,would these lights come on if intercooler hoses not tightned enough?

tried test today and it says different faults....44.22,24 and 14,15,16,17 but cant seem t find them on list.Thnk car has a problem big time
