wrx sti import 95 hi guys went passed speed sign wot lights up 30mph if u go over but i was doing 42mph before it lit up can any explain

sorry said it wrong 30mph road warning light lit up at 42mph on my speedo i dropped down to 40mph road warning light wen outios my speedo no good
