Looking for new blowoff valve
Hi all.
I have a HKS SSQV mounted on my car right now and i start to get really tired of the sound from it.
I've try both cheap copys to expensive valves (Forge, HKS, Blitz), but i cant find the sound that i looking for.
Any suggestion?
Just to give you guys a hint what i looking for

Also known as daz
That chirping is what some refer to as wastegate chatter even though it isn't.
It's usually when you aren't running a bov, it's the noise of the unused boost when lifting off going back down the inlet and bouncing of the tubine blades, causing the turbo to stall.
Also known as compressor surge.
Not good for the turbo whatsoever.

If you want to hear compressor stall, just run an open induction kit rather than an airbox and remove your dump valve, just block the two open ends of the pipework where the DV would have gone. Every time you let off the throttle you'll hear a twittering noise which is the trapped charge backing up against the compressor blades.
I won't guarantee the life of your turbo though, some can take it, some can't.

TD series turbo's will be fine running without a dv,i have a forge vta fitted with the hardest red spring on a td05 16g which makes that sound at moderate boost as the spring has yet to be overcome so the boost air backs down and hits the turbo vanes as described.... more boost and the vta works as intended and gives the natural blow off sound..... few that have run td series turbo's without dv's for thousands of miles with no problems.
Wouldnt reccomend running a vf series turbo without a dv though, weaker blades apparently that can break up easily and cause engine damage.
