changing cam belt
Just had a nose on ebay, am i right in thinking the phase1 imprezas don't make use of a hydraulic cam tensioner?
Is it a simple case of whipping the old belt of lining up the pulleys and tightening it all up with the new gear on.
I heard somewhere that on one side the cam pulleys are free to rotate and need to be locked in place, a normal dowel wouldn't be of any use?
Can anyone help, she's 8k away from her 90k service so id like to know early on.
