Default Problem after 1/4mile 1994 wrx

Hya,

I went to York Race Way today and done a good time 13.9, it pulled really well. On my way home it made a noise a bit like a boost leak, and now wont boost at all the gauge only slightly goes past 0 bar, I have had the intercooler off and checked all pipes carnt see any splits the turbines in the turbo seem nice a free.

Iam stumped it was going so well any suggestions please?

Could it be the boost solinoid how would I check?

Thanks mark

I would get the welds checked , The smallest leak would be a proplem. Or get a sti top mount , Job done . or even a front mount , LoL hope you get it sorted, >> And yes it was me that pipped you to the post , my times yesterday were not my best to date 12.0 @ 117mph. cheers Alan.

Hya,

Just thought, How would a change of intercooler solve it I am probably been stupid but I was on about the welds on the up pipe to the turbo mate, surely this pipe would stop regardless or would it? I feel daft now

Think he's talking about the seems in the top mount and assumed you had had the re-welded which i also did until i read your last post.

As said check the end tank seal on the top mount. They do blow apart

Hya,

I just thought it would be right to let you know the cause of my problem was a loose jubilee clip, It felt tight by hand but when I put abit of pressure on it with a rachet it clicked so re-placed it looks to be ok now, I feel like a right dill lol,

Just the exhaust gaskets to sort now.

thanks mark
