Going for the remap next tues....
Hi guys just a quick question, im goin for my remap on my uk turbo 2000 w reg next tues, it is going to have a vf34 turbo fitted on sunday by myself i am a mecanic but never done a turbo change how hard are they to fit from the standard td04 anything else i will need or any tips? the car also has a walbro 255 pump, fully decatted exhaust and a k+n panel filter, should i change the oil before i go for the remap? also do i need to do anything else checked before i go down? i live in leeds and im going to powerstation so its quite a drive ... will the turbo be ok on the drive down?

turbo change shouldn't cause you a problem.. if it is due an oil change then change it but otherwise no need.. just drive down off boost.. you might want to run a single pipe from actuator to compressor cover then it can only run actuator pressure in case you get carried away on the way down
