Lightbulb Advice!

Apologies if these questions have already been asked but Im new to this Scooby owning.

I have purchased a 54 plate WRX STi, bog standard well looked after example. Im not majorly into the tuning scene but would like a few added extras bearing in mind I dont have a tree that flowers in £20 notes.

I would like to upgrade air flow exhaust and stick on an atmospheric valve, which is the best way to go? I have seen a Ninja exhaust with sports cat? any good? or are there better ones? I knwo there is 2 cats so will it happily run with the second one missin if I fit a sports cat?

I heard horror stories of fitting induction kits burning out the Air flow meter? And I also notice alot of you folks have upgraded panel filters fitted which one would be recommended? STi or an after market?

Soryy for the Q's but it would be costly for me to get this wrong and end up unhappy particularly if the exhaust ended up sounding like a wet fart!

The ninja exhaust are v.good, they sound good and usually improve the flow, a panal filter is preffered by many although you shouldnt have problems with an induction kit burning out the element.
however all will sound louder with an induction kit, but for reliablility i would buy an aftermarket panal filter.
Dump valves are great sounding but can be a bit hit and miss, on earlier cars they can create idiling problems and slight overfueling but on later cars im not too sure.
Personally i had problems with my greddy dump valve but i just turned up the idle a slight touch (maybe 100rpm more) and ive never had any problems since
