i was running a standard VF23 Turbo on my sti version 3 JDM model.
i then blew my turbo and on the lookout maybe reconditioning it.

but i have a question about turbos i have been offered a TD04 and TD05 cheap i guess if i put these into my sti will it slow it down completely?

will i be running at the 220-240bhp powerwise with an sti engine and be downgrading to a WRX.

i know nothing about turbos i have just purchased my impreza and maybe im not sure about the bhp thing but can someone explain PLEASE!

 

3You cannot run either the td04 or td05 turbo on your current map.... very different units anyway to the vf28 you currently have,power wise the td05 would be the choice of the two,slightly slower spool but more mid range and top end power than the vf23.....a remap would be needed unless you fitted another vf23
