Default Max power for this engine

Just wondering what are people opinions on the TEG sport stage 4 engine.

Stage 4 - 500BHP/480Ftlb : 2.5L steel bottom end, thats from TEGS website.

I know its a american STI spec 2.5 with wiseco pistions and carrillo rods fitted to a STI crank.

What power will this handle?

What spec components do Andy F, Zen etc etc use?

cheers folks!

How much power it will handle will largely be down to the amount of work carried out to the cylinder heads, This spec block will be o.k to 500 bhp with standard later spec 2.0l heads but could be capable of more with say 2.5l cosworth race heads.

I mean how much power will it take before it breaks?

How much can the steel sti cranks take?

STI9 crank will break at Circa 1000 hp but not sure if anyone has managed that yet.

The EJ257 would have been blown to pieces well before then, the standard Cylinder liners will not hold up to much more than 30psi of boost,
Carillo rods have been used in engines in excess of 600 hp.
Wiseco Pistons are more of a budget piston but am sure they would last in a 5-600 hp engine.
