hi, i have tried 3 types of manifolds.

1. ported
2. all in one unequal length has built in up pipe
3. gt spec un equal length.

i found the ported ones really good for low and mid range with very good torque the tubular mainfolds i found to be laggy and had a remap and this gave me better spool then stock. GT spec where no good me as its only worth going for these if u are after big power.

my recommendation would be to get your headers ported. you wont be disappointed. i know uni-ink and harvey do these. their are probably others who do it as well.

also if u want to do it yourself. their are plenty of threads on the forum about this.

i hope this helps,

btw i tried and tested all the headers on MY94 WRX JDM

regards

BTW from what i know the smaller the diameter of the up pipe the quicker your turbo should spool. so ported headers with small diameter up pipe will help u allot if you are going for around 300 - 350bhp mark. then again some else who has more experience may correct me as im just going on from experience with my car.

If Harvey supplies you ported headers then make sure he wraps them for you with the DEI wrap. Really good stuff, far better than the standard pish-posh stuff you get in my experience:

https://www.scoobynet.com/general-te...-heatwrap.html

This combined with the uppipe he provided me has me thinking about selling on my current ported headers and getting a set prewrapped properly from him tbh.
