Ball Joints missing off my quickshift??
#1
Just took delivery of a new quickshift lever, but ive noticed its missing its balljoint.
Is this normal.?
Do I have to modify it, or is it just faulty.
Thanks

I would of thought it would be an idea for these companies (NOT EVERYONE) to actually open there eyes & wake up & actually check it before its sent out for delivery, im surprised I didnt get a new engine or something delivered (Would of been nicer)
I've really lost faith now when ordering over the phone cos its now the 3rd time I've got something thats either faulty or something I didnt ask for.
I know im a moaner but I think I've got reason to.
Anyway im chilled now Ive got that off my chest.

We have just removed a qiuck shift from my mates car. He mentioned that when it was fitted they used the ball from the old stick. It is removed by pushing out the Roll Pin in the midle of the ball.

They should match up - the Jap innovation one i fitted didn't have one (nor have a few others i've seen), but it is a hell of a lot cheaper than the all singing and dancing ones and does a great job when fited..
Just use a blunt nail or something to push the pin out and refit on the new lever.
The good thing is the ball (being off the original lever) will be a perfect fit for the socket.
