Hi, i have a 97 sti type r and it has started juddering when driving basicly feels like a misfire. i did have it when i was accelerating hard to end but now its no matter how its driven. Can anybody advise me what would be the common reasons for this to happen so i can check it out. It would happen now when i'm trading the car in soon. All help will be appreciated.

hiya mate, has your engine managment light come on? if so it will tell you whats wrong, have had in to a dealer to see they can help, good luck mate, what you trading it in for?

 

i'l asume your not as crap with mechanical stuff as me chris
and will have checked this, i had this problem and all it was a plug lead
had come off!
hope its nothing major.

 

Not had a managment light come on. I cleaned the crank and cam sensors or what i belive is them and it has improved but still aint perfect. The weather seems to have a effect on this as well. I am getting a skyline r33 gtr running stage 1 mods.

 

When i finished work problem has come back. Need some advice on this anyone please.

Could this be maf?
Plugs?

Worst case could it be a head gasket, there is no water/oil mix?

Someone please help.

Possibly plugs/leads/coil pack???????????????? Have you checked the plugs?
