Default A question for the mappers

Hi,
i have an apexi ecu and datalogit software. i've set everything up and its running fine at 1bar of boost.
However as soon as i put the boost up to 1.25 i see a problem.
As soon as it hit full boost it start to missfire, splutter etc
I've tried adjusting the duty etc but to no joy.
One other thing. what is the value in the end box with gray background in the boost setting tab, its about 205
any help appreciated

Not a mapper, and might be a silly question, but....did you have this missfire before ecu change? Could be mechanical like plugs etc?

what year of car is it? The earlier cars need a different map sensor I think as it can only read a certain value (sure a mapper will confirm, my money is on JGM!)

had the same problem with mine after i fitted the apexi, only boosting up to 1 bar of boost, the fault could of been there before but only started to relise it when i started to mod her so i took it to my local rolling road guy he said it's plugs or coilpack, i changed both to be on the safe side, took it back the following week boosting up 1.6 now with no problems

If you're using the standard boost control then in some cases you can end up with the solenoid stuck at 60% duty, which may result in more boost than the ignition can handle, perhaps more than you're intending. It should run clean at 11.8 afr, but that's too lean for a standard motor at peak power. Start with low 11s or high 10s until you have a feel for what you're doing. Don't expect much mapping advice from Pros!

I would tend to side a a few others and say its coil packs, they can run fine at 1bar and fail at 1.2bar easily.

Is it a classic with plug cap coils?
