Default Me need engine help.

Right, as i know nothing about these engines and you cant get any haynes for them, I know where some bits are, but not others.

So i have posted some pics if you could point them out to me. Cheers

1st pic is i think the boost sol??

2nd pic is the pipes i need to clean for it?

3rd pic is engine shot, intercooler is on top, middle at the front is the alternator right of that is aircon pump. But where is the turbo, is it under the intercooler, and where is the wastegate.

4th engine again, fat black pipe with blue one coming out its the D/V ??

Any help is a great help
Cheers

i think you need to clean the boost solenoid aswell as pipes
turbo is underneath the heat shield that has got the x on it to the left of the intercooler, the waste gate is part of the turbo in picture 3 the actuator is just under the blue pipes, there will be one of the pipes going to it and there is a rod on the other end going under the heat shield to the wastegate wich is part of the exhaust housing on the turbo.

yes the dump valve is the one with the black and blue pipes on it.

Cheers for that, just been reading about fuel cut, as i have just noticed it the other day and didnt do it when i got it 3wks ago. works great and pulls well on half gas, but some time on full gas it will pull then it feels like you have dropped a anchor out of the boot (well not that bad)

And people have cleaned there boost sol, but some had the same problem and it was with the wastegate not opening, can you get to see the wastegate from under the car

you can see the actuator from under the bonnet, but the wastegate itself you will need to remove the downpipe.

try cleaning the solenoid first,i think you need to put it in diagnostic mode first.try doing a search on here and see what comes up.

is the engine oil level ok? if it is high it can cause contamination in the solenoid
