Question What oil for 2001 WRX

Hi i have a 2001 bugeye WRX, engine is standard appart from dumb valve and stainless exhaust. i am trying to work out what oil is best for my engine and am getting conflicting information, can anyone shed any light on the matter for me?
I have carried out an extensive search and am finding that people are sugesting anything from 0w 30 to 15w 60 of both fully synthetic and semi synthetic oils.
i have contacted 2 subaru specialists in my area

one has told me to they use castrol edge 10w 60 fully synthetic but did'nt state weather it was the M series or the sport.

The other has told me they use a 5w 30 or 5w 40 fully symthetic

i have also contacted a subaru main dealer for this information and they told me they use BP 10w 40 semi synthetic oil

now these r three service centres that specialise in servicing subaru's but use very different oils.

Im Confused
can anyone shed any light on which oil i should use , i dont particullarlly drive my car hard but like most people i do get my little bursts so would like the best protection for my engine.

Thanks in advance

Recently had MY06 STi oil changed using Motul 300V Chrono 10W40, running really nice.
