Default classic heating,please help

ive got a classic impreza and ive got no heating,my temprature gauge is normal,ive got heat going into the matrix but when i put the switch to hot,nothing,just cold air,any help please

This is likely to be an air lock. Squeeze the hoses either side of the matrix and see if the heater starts working. Watch you coolant level.

had same problem with mine, i was told to change the thermastate and it works a treat now,

It could be a number of things?
If you did have a air lock & low coolant level there is a good chance that your temp gauge would show above normal on a spirited drive. Then that would point to the above. Sometimes the blower will blow luke warm air then cold.

You also need to check the metal rods that attach to the servos motors on the heater matrix unit. They may have come off or your servo is dead. So your heater seeting may be stuck on cold.

[cheers everyone,i'll borrow my mates heater unit and see if that works,ive bleed the system but only with the header tank lid off,is there any bleed plugs any were,cheers kev
