Wiring Lom - Apexi
Please help lol
I have just spent the wkend breaking a Subaru Type R, Im going to put the engine into my jap import on a 95 plate, can anyone tell me if I would have to change the wiring loom aswell??
I will be running a apexi ecu which has 3 pin inputs, not sure about the 95 jap import? Im hoping I will not have to change the whole loom also.
Can someone please help me.
Thanks
Pablo

yes you will. or use your existing manifold (if the type R was pre 99) and sell the PFC and buy a new one, if the type R was 99/00 then you will need to swap the loom.

just to clarify.. you have a 95 car with Apexi PowerFC (PFC) in..
you have a Type R 97~99 engine?
if you use just the long engine.. ie. heads and block complete with cambelt covers and sprockets and sump etc.. and just fit the inlet manifold from the 95 along with the coil packs then it will run without changing the loom.
You would need to map it to take advantage of the heads and higher rev limit etc
Would also be easier to use the 95 turbo..
