Can someone explain a button for me
Ok my Wagon is an Auto But it was a good price, i spend a lot of time just motorway driving and in rush hour traffic.. So its not such a bad thing to have.
When i looked at it there was a manual impreza next to it for an extra grand.. same spec otherwise.. Stuff that
Anyhow, there is a button down by the stick which says manual/at. I have been told that if i stick it into manual the gearbox will stay in whatever gear i select regardless, is this true? i don't really want to test by bouncing off the redline
I prefer manuals for driving like a bafoon (5%) but prefer Autos for every day driving like to work and the shops(95%). Therefore I woulda paid an extra 5% for a manual which was a lot less than a Grand

That button will hold it in gear, however it will still upshift at the redline as it would normally (at full throttle), I think it also downshifts as you slow (as it would normally) so if you forget it doesn't try and pull away in 4th!
