please help, i have a short in my sccob.
Hi all,
i have 1994 WRX JDM. I currently have a short somewhere which causes my horn and brake lights to stop working. i have done some testing to see what could be causing this. i have disconnected the horn and still shorts out. disconnected the rear lights and it still shorts out.
Does any body know what else is connected to the same fuse which connects Rear brake lights and the horn? as im stumped at where the short can be? as so far i have replaced the same fuse about 5 times trying to work out what it can be. Also to note that when i do replace the fuse it doesnt blow up stirght away. sometimes its fine for like 2 days then all of a sudden the fuse is blown.
Also if anyone has some sort of wiring diagram for this it may help me or if anyone has expereinced a similar problem your input would help allot.
any help would be greatly appricated.
regards

Best bet is replace the fuse and then go through every electrical thing on your car..
So test..
Eletric windows
Eletric mirrors
central locking
Head lights
and see what pops the fuse
If you get no luck with the accessories, try putting the ecu into test mode (two green connectors) and switch the ignition on.. It may be the cooling fans blowing the fuse for example...
SHouldn't really take that long to track down whats causing the problem!
