Default cel check 45 code where is it?

hi just done a cel check and its came up 45 witch i can make out to be pressure sensor, where is this sensor on the car and what do it do check, pressure of what? as from time to time my95 wrx winds over but wont start then it will start some times 2 min later or 20 min later, please help you guys

the pressure or map sensor is the little square box with denso written on it about the size of a match box on the drivers side inner wing.. check the small pipe is connected, it runs to the pressure exchange solenoid which would also trip the same error code.. check the pipe from there goes to the manifold.. also they both have electrical connections, check / clean them.

ok cheers will do thanks would this stop the car from starting? im running 1.8 bar of boost that wouldnt have nothing to do with it would it cos it was the same before i done the mods

what ecu?

it wouldn't start before the mods either ?

no its had this trouble since ive had it but only used to use it once a month so didnt worry me, i had an 04 wrx but after a wile i didnt like it so sold that and spent it on this one, i think i mite get rid of this if i cant get this right as its doing me head in

Pressure sensor fault shouldn't stop it starting.
But running 1.8bar may a cause it to log Code 45 as it may think it's got a Map sensor fault due to the large amount of boost.

1.8bar is 0.6bar beyond the range of the Map sensor.

i cant help that but ive fitted to gauges and the both read the same, so why wont the bloddy thing start? have you seen my other thread may be you can help? i cant make out why its not showing a code thats making it play up haw an earth are you ever going to sort a problem when you dont know what it is?
