01 wrx possible fault??
hi all......
just a quick question, i havent had my scoob long and noticed when change gear quickly there is a loud knock from 1st to 2nd, and when drive at low revs or let off the accelerator it feels like the engine 'wobbles' if get what i mean. not much, just ive noticed it and dont no if being picky lol. do engine mounts go on these? is this comon or any known faults? cheers people

Check the rear engine brace, shaped like a dog's bone (black plastic) and about 6" long. It goes from the back of the engine/gearbox to the bulkhead and prevents excess movement, of the kind you've described.
You'll need to remove intercooler iirc to check properly, however you 'may' be able to reach under intercooler from the passenger side and give it a tug to see it there's any play, as it should be tight..
Take a look at this pic and you can see it clearly (centre 3/4 up going right to bulkhead) as IC has been removed.
