HELP DONT KNOW WHATS WRONG
HI IV JUST CHANGED MY ENGINE IN MY 96 MOD SCOOBY I TOOK OUT A EJ20 ENGINE AND PUT A RECON BACK IN ITS SMOKING AND SLIGHT MISS AND OVER FUELING KICKS OUT BLACK SMOKE HAS ANYONE GOT ANY INFO PLEASE CHEERS ROB

But truthfully, your best taking the car to an engine (or subaru) speciallist, in 99% of the cases, you dont get the 100% full story.
First thing to ask is, is the engine the same as the one that came out (was it a full recon inc turbo etc?)
The overfuelling could be down to the car going into limp mode, but these will all be guestimates.
Speciallist is your best bet
