Default inlet manifold

Hi all,

Im currently running a andy forrest 20g turbo on my 1993 wrx with the usual support mods.

Currently im running it with a 90 bend but was thinking of either changing the manifold to a later front entry one or rasing my current one.

Does anyone know which option is best and if its easy to do.

cheers

IIRC the front entry manifold is just a standard one rotated and the alternator relocated to the A/C compressor position, they never actually come from the factory like this.

there is a similar thread in transmission about this. If you are planning on removing the 90deg because you think it is a restriction then apparently it isnt a restriction unless your after big bhp. I am sure 500bhp was quoted.

Front entry turbo, not manifold I think he means

And you can't just turn the inlet round as the throttle body sticks up in the air along with the idle control valve, then you can't shut the bonnet.

The original question answer is to raise the manifold up with spacers (carl davey makes them)

So my best bet was to fit manifold spaces tne. is this an easy job to do i.e can a novice do it and what else would i need to do it.

Cheers

Mark A...you need to also mention you have relocated you PS pump (or not refitted it) or used a later version, also if you use a phase 1 manifold (Mark has a phase 1.5 i think or phase 2) then you need spacers and the fuel lines might get in the way

resivouir not pump sorry

Thanks Chris.
