Group N is factory standards,

If you changed you backbox (again) for a vortex or something similar, still retained the cats (WRX has 3 STi has 2) it wouldn't be really loud.

If you want to keep the group N BB then replace one of you cats (preferably the rear cat) and center section with straight through replacements

Looking at your profile(My Scooby), It's an MY94

Anyway, full decat and a Nur Spec, your neighbours will love you

Or get a Revolution system, very neighbour friendly

Ahh right. Thought it was a typo

TBH for neighbour friendly with good gains, I'm not sure if you can do much better than the Revolution system. Not very(Compared to my Nur Spec), loud on tick over but plenty loud at full chat.

A decat downpipe may also help, couldn't sat for certain as I'm not that technical/clued up with the newer cars.

Lucky you dont live next door to me.. I think i'd drain your sump in the night and see if your engine can make as much noise as the exhaust

That is what i have got on my motor.

2nd Cat replacement pipe, unresonated centre and a TSL backbox. Give a noticably rumble when on idle, but is a lot louder when using the loud pedal.

next on my list is a decat downpipe!
