Default ECU options Legacy B4

Hi lads,

My brother has just bought a B4 legacy and I have been reading a lot of threads around the Internet about the issues they experience due to low octane fuel (we only gt 95 RON in Ireland)

I spoke to my tuner yesterday and he said the safest way to run the car would be a tune on a powerFC but he didnt know if there was onee available for the 2002 Legacy. HE also said there were some issues with fuel delivery especially to the third cylinder and a problem with the pressure reg being very close to the hot (turbo etc) side of the engine. He said if I wanted to be carefull I could get a universal pressure regulator and locate it a bit further from the hot area.

He mentioned that if there was no powerFC for the legacy I could get the existing ECU flashed with an ecotek (spelling) map and this should make it safe on 95RON.

So here I am with a couple of questions:

1) is there a powerFC available for the legacy?

2) Is it worthwhile looking at a universal pressure reg and maybe a dual entry fuel rail?

3) is the ecotek remap worth looking at and is there anywhere with a good reputation in southern or nothern Ireland that you would recommend to flash it??

Thanks in advance lads.

Ecutek map would be easiest. Worth talking to Bob Rawle as he's done many leggy's now.

Ecutek best way forward.

the fuel rail mod would be unnecessary / over kill on a standard car imho.

Junk the OE topmount and replace it with an STi topmount, remap the OE ECU and unleash it's true potential
