esl chip

Default esl chip

i have a esl chip but need the ic block soldering in does any one know where you can get this done in the north east thanks

Ihad same problem but I sent my ECU box to Andy (ESL) and he done the job for £50.

Have you just bought it mate?

yes but local tv repair shop solderd part in and car was dead when i tried to start it had to call out aa to grt home,put new ecu every yhing ok now but want a peputabale electronics guru to do job now im in north east

****!!! Did it screw your ECU up then? ESL did say when I bought mine that if I needed it soldering get it done properly or else I may encounter problems.

Did'nt they offer you the live mapping that they now sell. Did'nt think ESL sold the daughter board chip anymore?

www,polarperformance.co.uk do the original esl chip and now the live mapping.
did the old ecu run when the J1 resistor was recomnnected?

no reconected j1 resistor and car would turn over but would not start engine check ligt went crazy it was a v5 ecu got 2nd hand b3 ecu started straight away

could you not give the soldering a go yourself (i live down south so can't recommend any decent solderer unforunately).
