I have a 2005 Forester w/ 2.5l non-turbo engine. Occasionally after a hard rain it idles terribly and the check engine light comes on. After it dries out, the trouble goes away, as does the check engine light. Does anyone have a similar experience with this problem?
Also, is there a way to get the diagnostic codes other than a scan tool? this is my first Subaru, I know with some cars you can turn the ignition switch a couple of times or some similar method.
