What BHP could a v7/8 STI top mount take?

I thought they were good for around the 300 320 mark.
Could be wrong though.

my sti8 runs 350bhp on stadard top mount with no issues and minimal lag

think its more the boost that kills them than bhp. Ian lichfield's type 25 produces 415 bhp on standard top mount.

Generally the heat that the intercooler has to disipate is caused by the compression of air in the turbocharger compressor.
If you are streaching the turbo output beyond its normal operating perameter then you will create more heat whereas a larger turbocharger, operating on the same engine at the same power will produce less heat. So there is no exact answer as to what a particular intercooler can handle as it depends on a number of factors.
Furthermore, unless the ambient and air charge temperatures are monitored, you are living in ignorant blis..................possibly until the engine goes bang.

General Engine Bay and underplate.




Clutch Reservoir. It was preferable not to cut down the clutch reservoir to give clearance for the screw on/off top.



The ICVS is mounted upside down along the side of the TMIC on the passenger side.
The take off for the BOV is a modified scooter exhaust.
