Default realistic power figures??? pics added

What kind of realistic power figure can i expect from the following..

MY03 STi PPP Engine + ECU
Full Blitz Nurspec exhaust
FMIC and Blow off valve
Full Induction kit

Will it benafit from a remap?

Once Engine is in going to start the install.

Its amazing just how many parts are different on the GX to the STi!

Thanks in advance

GX ? Is the car itself an STi ?

A remap after fitting a decat exhaust is always a good idea .

A remap will compensate for the slight extra lag that the fmic may bring, and will also make full advantage of the decat

If it is a complete engine Turbo, Injectors, etc.. Any good mapper can get you to the 350 BHP mark

Will only be around 300-310bhp without the remap though

Supposed to be about 305bhp, although they don't always quite make that.

why you going to a FMIC? as they arn't needed for the power it will make only worth changing when you want around 400bhp mark so turbo change etc as the standard TMIC is good enough for the vf35 turbo on the above engine as the FMIC will only create more turbo lag

the main reason i went for the FMIC, is the fact the engine didnt come with a top mount.

The FMIC i bought was one of the autobahn88 ones and around £300, a Sti top mount was around the same price. also i have a carbon bonnet on with no air vent, so FMIC made sense that way too.

Next month when i have a bit more cash, im going to get a bigger turbo, fuel pump and injector's.

By christmas I would like 400bhp. Not bad to say the GX is 123bhp or something daft!

but i have a carbon bonnet on with no vent, so FMIC made sense that way too.

why have you bought a gx and stuck a STI engine in it? Wouldnt it be easier to just buy and STI?

No offence intended - just curious thats all

£2100 engine, ecu, loom's, p/s pump, a/c pump's, boost pack etc
£300 Intercooler
£47 Induction kit
£106 Blitz R-vit Ecu thingy
£290 Tyres
£260 clutch kit
£100 belt's
£700 misc item's and bits fund!
£115 engineers report

I dont consider that to be bad in all fairness. not for a 200+bhp gain

gx is bought and paid for a fair time ago pal, 03my Sti is around 12k+, I would get 4 for mine top's. If i spend £8k on mine, it will be a weapon, and in green. not many new shapes in green.

you got enough with 8k? cos there's alot of bits needed i.e gearbox, turbo, injectors, remap, bigger brakes would be advisable for 400bhp, suspension

plenty with 8K, will do it for £4k

Dont need gearbox, there the same, got turbo, injectors etc with the engine.

already got brakes, just need to get round to fitting them.

GX is 126BHP or somthing.

Suspension is next on the list.

don't mean to sound funny but there's no way a gx gearbox will take that sort of power. but hope everything goes well for ya

Course it will,

It's got a sti clutch, bearing and plate, according to the subaru workshop manuals the gearbox is the same as what's in all 5 speed model's inc the wrx. So it cant be that weak.

Im sure some of the WRX's on here run a few more than 300.

It will certainly get tested thats for sure. If it fails it will have to be rebuilt or changed.

Teg motorsport said the gearbox will be fine if treated with respect.

Scoobyclinic said it will smash in 5 min's.

I will let you know the results once i test it

am from wakey when you've finished it you'l have to get yourself along to WYIOC meet (more details in the WYIOC section on times etc.

be interested to see how the gearbox handles it as the wrx gearbox tends to not like 350+bhp but guess it depends on how you drive but worth a try either way

my thoughts exactly, why spend money if this will do the job. All in the way of research.

makes me wonder... people sell wrx gearbox's for £200-£300 more than gx's

would be intersting to see the results.

yeah will bring it over to wakey as soon as its running. would be a nice trip out that. Go for a drink or something
