Default Can buckled alloys be repaired?

Been to main dealer today. Was given some 'great' news that 3 of my Speedline's were buckled.

Can they be repaired?

Anyone know how much it would cost?

Thanks.

Yes they can, I spoke to a bloke who advertised in the autotrader, he charged approx 50 quid a wheel and was based in the sheffield area. I'm sure there will be more companys about. Just google it and you should find someone.

I've bent my rims a few times, if it's just the edge of the rim that is bent, you just need to heat the affected part of the rim with a blowtorch (the rim does not have to get redhot) and then hit it with a hammer till it looks straight.

It doesn't look too neat afterwards because there are scuff marks from the hammering (the scuff marks from the hammering were less evident than the ones from when the wheel got bent BTW) but the wheels will stop their vibration.

After having mine fixed with the method above and balanced, I can go from 0 to 180 km/hr without any hint of vibration at any speed.

Just had a quote for £55.00 per wheel. Includes painting. Any good?

I really don't think you can argue with that price . I was lazy and bought a whole new set of wheels when I had 2 buckled ones, should have just refurbished them tbh.

Hi m8 when you buckled do you mean a flat spot on the inside or do you mean that the wheels runs out of true when spun ?
I repair alloy wheels for all the tyre garages in my area.
for a flat spot I charge £25 and if the wheel needs machining to run true this is another £20
I am in north yorks have a look on my website Philloy - Precision Alloy Engineering
if this is any help to you
