Default Wheel bearing - Checking condition

Hey there guys I've had a squeak om my front passenger side wheel now for a few months so while I've got my brakes and disk off to change i thought id have a look!!! The squeak seems to be rotational and all the bushes seem ok so i think I've ruled them out, so I'm left wondering if it could be a wheel bearing on the way out?

As I've got all the brake components off the car what the easiest way to check the wheel bearing, is it a case of removing the hub and having a look? Also the cars a MY96 with 60k on the clock so would it be worth replacing the bearing anyway?

Thanks
Wayne
