Default PSI to BAR ????

where can i find info on my turbo pressure? just fitted a boost gauge (in PSI)

how many psi to BAR??

what would a 98 uk 2000 turbo run at standard? what can i run it at safely?

anyone help??

1 bar=14.5 psi.Look on this site-

Don't know what you can safely run though.

mine is running at 14psi ???

Only got a daws devise as my standard controller packed up!

Is that to much to be running day to day??

it IS 14.5:1 well 14.50377 if you think your gauge is that good!

14.5 psi = 1 bar. It does not matter how far above sea level you are.
If you are say 2000m above sea level the atmospheric pressure is less, in both bar and psi.
It's like saying a mile is shorter in Scotland than in Wales.

So whats safe to run?

and the maximum a standard scoob can run without frying the piston rings?

With the correct mapping you can run upto around 1.5 Bar,

If your doing a bleed valve job, then 1.1 - 1.2 bar, but wouldn't recommend it.

I'm running 1.3 Bar with Standard 2.0l at the moment and has been fine for 5000 hard miles.

Also common misconception, Is very hard to 'Fry' piston rings, as the pistons will melt first.
