Default Adjusting Actuator?

Has anyone made adjustment to the arm on the actuator for more boost. I seem to remember the garage turning it down during running in? Im only running 0.7 bar!! Thanks.

Clockwise more boost ie shorter, anti-clockwise longer for less boost

Does this adjustment maintain higher boost levels across the rev range?

I thought it would give slightly quicker spool-up as the wastegate would be closed tighter but as the opening is still controlled by the boost solenoid, it would open at stock boost levels.

when i did mine it made the boost go up and in steed off hitting boost and then feeling a flat spot where the flat would open it seemed to boost more equily and harder

Sounds like it is worth a try, along as it is properly monitored and not taken to an extreme

The Rig

I would like to be able to write a guide for you but I am far from an expert. Have been looking on Scoobypedia and searching threads on here to try and make head or tail of what goes on under the bonnet

The wastegate actuator should be adjusted so that when you connect the rod back to the wastegate arm, you need to physically pull the actuator rod by 3-5mm (for a TD05).

If the wastegate is too loose the turbo will take longer to spool as exhaust gas is passing through the wastegate prematurely.

If the wastegate is too tight it will cause severe overboost, as the wastegate would not be able to pass enough exhaust gas to maintain a stable boost pressure.

If you want to raise boost you need to have the car remapped with engine mods as required, or very carefully with a dawes device and afr guage (not recommended).
