What Boost to run?
Hi i've got an STi V2 thats only mildly modded, with a standard TD05, HKS Fcon ecu, K&N ind kit, a de cat centre and back box and a Blitz boost controller.
Just wondering what would be a safe boost to run. Its currently set at 1.3 bar which is what it was when I bought the car.
Any help appreciated
Cheers Marx

If there is no DET and fueling checks out OK 1.3 is safe and you could go a little further, especially if you are running V-Power and NF Octane Booster but on the proviso that fueling and DET are checked out THOROUGHLY by a competant reliable operator.
I ran a WRX Wagon M/Y 95 with 05-06 20 G at 385 bhp with 1.45 bar and occassional 1.55 bar for a couple of years in advance of an anticipated engine rebuild and it was in good condition when I eventually pulled the engine and stripped it. Checking for DET, in the final running form, consistency of fuel as above and thoroughly checking AFRs throughout the rev/load range is very important.

I wouldn't be going above 1.3 bar on your car due to the small 'slanty' intercooler and downpipe cat still in place.
Usually anything above 1.2 bar is counterproductive, over 1.3 gets dangerous as you have neither the fuel capacity or the intercooling to support the turbo output.
First thing I'd do would be turn the boost down to 1.2bar, ditch the std downpipe cat to free off the exhaust, then fit an uprated fuel pump and adjustable pressure reg. Then get it checked by a reputable tuner.
