boost restrictor pill location on wrx03
Can someone tell me where the boost restrictor pill goes on a 03 WRX? I've searched loads of threads, but I don't understand the terminology.
Essentially, there's a long pipe that goes from the boost solenoid to a t-piece. From the t-piece, there's a pipe that goes to the wastegate actuator (i.e. the big brass 'blob' on the turbo, yes?) and another one which goes to the turbo 'outlet'.
I've disconnected the pipes from the turbo, and now I can't remember which way they go back in, so can someone confirm if the pill goes in between the outlet and the t-piece or the wastegate and the t-piece?
Also, if I was to replace the pipes and have no pill, would the effect be that the wastegate would open at 'wastegate pressure' (which is less than max normal boost)?
Cheers,
Henrik

The Pill is between the T-piece where the line to the BCS comes off and the compressor housing, by acting as a restriction is allows the bleed through the BCS to work, if there was no flow restriction then the pressure in the turbine would be fed direct to the actautor and you would get little or no boost control via the BCS.
