Plug leads lifespan?
I have an MY98 WRX that has done 66,000 miles. After changing the leads, oem for oem, there is a noticeable improvement in response. It seems smoother and accelerates better.
All I have done is regapped the plugs to 0.686mm (dont have a 0.7mm guage) and fitted new leads. The regap was minimal.
So how long do they last?

In the US the plug leads at that age HAD to be guarenteed to 60K miles, and I believe were included in the 60K service.
Mine were duff when I looked at mine, were replaced with 'blue print' ones before I bought it, the blue prints have lasted less than 2 years, and yes mine has come alive with a set of replacement OE leads! (as well as NGK Iridiums at 0.7mm)
Platinum plugs have a higher KV requirement for the same gap, so its possible the regapping has helped, especially if your on Platinums still.

Simon,
Yep, I'm still on the platinums. The difference is more than I have ever experienced with the other cars I have owned. This is my one and only turbo though!!
Cheers,
Wayne.
