Default "No reserve is parking brake" Howto anyone?

Hi,

the MOT failed on my scooby, for the exhaust (now fixed) and

"No reserve in parking brake"

So I take it this means because the handbrake it right at the top. Is there an howto or a paper on how to fix this problem myself?

Thanks for any info.

Hi, if it's a classic open then center console lid to find two screws covers remove them and the screws and lift up the hand brake surround until you can reach in to disconnect the connectors, then remove completely you will then find two 10mm nuts locked together undo with two 10mm spanners then tighten the lower one until you get 7-8 clicks on the hand brake to lock the rear wheels, then reassemble with locking nuts, connectors and trim, job done.

Though rather naughty you can also just tie a knot in the cable if it is fully adjusted already, but you didn't hear it from me. Right?
