Default gapping piston rings

i am in the process of a rebuild on an sti closed dec engine, i am ready to fit the rings but i need to know what they need to be gapped at, the pistons are oversized by 0.5mm if that matters, cheers phil.

The supplier should be able to tell you this. Think it varies between pistons, cast/forged etc. 3thou for every inch dia springs to mind, but prob not relevent lol

ok, ill pm the supplier, i forgot to mention they are forged pistons, thanks, phil.

they said these std ones are already gapped, so no worries.
