Newbie 'Upgrade' questions!
Hi guys
I recently bought my first scooby. It's an STI version 5. Can't stop smiling everytime i'm about to get in! It's a jap import so i'm imagining it's around the 280bhp mark? I've recently fitted a catback blitz system and am now saving up for the downpipe and 100 cell race cat. What are the stage 1 mods from here or what else could i do to see around 320-350bhp?
Any help with contacts would be awesome. Many thanks
Amit

if your going to reach 300bhp you might want to start with gettin bigger brakes. then induction kit, bigger injectors and uprated fuel pump and a bigger intercooler (front mounted). you will need to get a remap aswell.

thanks for that. the guy i bought it from had an uprated fuel pump fitted before. as for an induction kit i have looked at a few on the market. quite a few people on here recommend a panel filter. any particular reason why? thought it might have something to do with avoiding maf probs. as for remaps, looked at the EcuTek from several companies. Is this the main supplier everyone tends to go for?

I'd say just a decat, ported headers and a good remap should see you to almost 320bhp. 350 will require a bigger turbo, injectors, probably a FMIC ie lots more cost for only an extra 30bhp.

You Have Power engineering just up the road in Uxbridge. They will be able to Ecutek tune your car, there are others that are equally as good and possibly bit cheaper.
